Abstract
This paper investigates about H∞ control for a flexible rotor model and suppression of spillover phenomena caused by modelling of reduced order. A H∞ control system is designed such that unmodelled vibration modes in a high frequency range are not excited, i.e., a spillover phenomena are not caused to happen. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the control effects. Since the H∞ control problem in this paper reduces to a special case in the standard H∞ control problem, a new method is employed to solve it.
